Happy Friday! I have had several busy weekends in a row. The last two weekends I have been entertaining friends and family. I mentioned on Monday’s post (here), we had friends and family over to watch the Fourth of July fireworks. The prior weekend, I hosted a ladies luncheon for a few of my girlfriends alfresco with MacKenzie-Childs!
When it comes to outdoor entertaining, I think that nothing shows better than the new Thistle & Bee Collection. The dinner plates feature honeybees, a variety of wildflowers and, of course, the classic Courtly Check pattern! The salad plates are offered in four different styles featuring four different flowers: Trillium, Iris, Cornflower-Colored Bloom, and The Bride Salad Plates which feature a radiant ivory bloom. I could not resist the bread and butter plates lined with the Courtly Check ribbon, honeybees, and wildflowers.
Rather then pairing the plates with the traditional Thistle & Bee charger, I switched up the look and paired it with the Butterfly Garden Chargers. I just think these contrasting patterns are so fitting for outdoor dining since you get a combination of wildflowers, honeybees and butterflies.
I arranged it as a food and beverage station using my tea cart. The Everything Bowl was perfect to be used as a wine chiller, it held up to three bottles. The Butterfly Garden Pedestal Platter with the Compote bowl tiered on top, displayed the tea sandwiches, fruit and mini cupcakes.
My girlfriends enjoyed lunch al fresco and the gorgeous tablescape filled with wildflowers and the Courtly Check Print!!
