A day in Saint-Tropez is not nearly enough time to take in and enjoy this quaint town. I was able to visit Saint-Tropez while on a summer cruise. We started out our day early on a tour strolling through the town visiting the outdoor market, the flower market, fish market, and for me, window shopping at all the high end designer stores!
The city is quaint and is built around the port lined with multi million dollar yachts. Most ports you will find the smaller boats in port first with the larger boats/ yachts further out due to the size. However, Saint Tropez is built just the opposite with the larger yachts front and center on display for all! I was completely amazed walking by all the yachts. You will find everyone just hanging out sunbathing in their swimsuits sipping on Rose’. I would describe Saint-Tropez as having a laid back yet party vibe. I was not able to make it out to any of the party beaches, but was able to stop in at a local family beach to take in the water of the Mediterranean Sea. Of course no trip to the beach in France is complete without Rose’. In keeping with the custom my sister and I had Rose’ all day, haha!
After our stroll through town, shopping, and beaching it, we went back and freshened up for dinner at Le’ Girelier, where the who’s who dine! Dinner did not disappoint, the seafood pasta was excellent as well as the people watching, of course!
I’m looking forward to my return to the South of France. Next time I would like to stay for at least a week or a month, haha!
